My apologies for the delegate of Afghanistan to not have stated previously my position on her issue.
Well, India is supporting Afgahnistan's resolution, since it is an accurate way to reduce the Taliban terrorist network in the region. India is greatly affected by external terrorism, as proven by the Kashmir issue, which is a direct consequence of Al Quaeda's presence in Pakistan and an example of cross border terrorism.
Further more, India is the largest producer of licit opium (used in medecines) for pharmaceutical trade; maybe the delegate of Afghanistan should consider to reconvert the illegal opium production into a pharmaceutical trade? Could you see it as a way for your country to get rid of the remaining reserves of opium? Or does the delegate rather consider it an ineffective way of solving the issue?
Anyway, the delegate of india wants to make it clear that he considers Afghanistan's resolution an effective measure to get rid of terrorism once and for all, but giving Afghan people a chance to rebuild economically their country!
