The delegation of France couldnt agree more with the delegation of Turkey, when they say that this is becomign a mess. Delegates, France undesrtands that this your first MUN and that the forum seems like a great oppotunity to "fool around", but please lets use this forum for MUN purposes and most of all posting our opinion!. I´m saying this for your own good- as this counts for a grade and it really does help. This inclused the delegate of Congo who appered here, for some reason.

Going back to what reaaally matters, Yes, delegate of Czech Republic, everyone has the right ot opinions. But Global Warming is out there. Do not ignore it. By puting this aside, your nation is only agravating the porblem. We need the cooperation of all to fiz what we, humans, destroyed.

Let's keep it COOL ( in both ways!)!

Delegate of France, feel free to read what I posted:

Please, the purpose of this topic is not to discuss about the English language but to discuss about human issues. Stop being so immature and focus on the real problem.

I truly came here to estabilize the situation, but as i can see, i'm not welcome.

Delegates, calm down. Remember, this is the United Nations, we are supposed to be united. Let's drop the grammar, let's drop the offenses and discuss the issue at hand. If you want to discuss grammar mistakes, please create another topic.

Delegate of the Czech Republic, the United States's newly-elected president has already stated that after 20 years of research, we can finally conclude that global warming is real. Do you seriously think that saving the world is "wasting money"?
Isn't it really our duty?
Isn't it really our responsibility?
There is nothing right now that you can say to avoid this problem. Research in average global temperature proves that global warming is real.
Cheers!

Delegate of Congo, there is no situation for you to stabalize here, if that is the case. You are more than welcome to to post anything in the European caucus, as our continent is open for opinions and remarks by any other nation, however if you do choose to post, please bring something productive and coherant to the discussion. Relax delegate, France still loves you=)

Anyway, Czech Republic, your nation does not believe in Global Warming, but does it approve any programs to diminish CO2 emissions, encourage recylcing or anything like that?

Thank you

France would just like to say that people make mistakes when typing, so correcting them is useless dear delegates. Remember, EVERYONE makes mistakes…

Thankfully, we are able to move to the important matter in here: global warming. Once again, France would like to emphasize that this has been an issue since the 1960's. How else can the delegates from Czech Republic explain the climate changes occurring in the Alps? Or the constant temperature increase occurred in Europe during this century? What's the logical explanation for the 26 days above 20ºC in 1995 (versus the average of 4 days/ year since 1772)? Is it really necessary to mention the fact that half of all glacial ice disappeared in the past 100 years in the Caucasus Mountains, Russia and that half of glaciers present in Spain in 1980 are gone? Or how about the fires due to dry conditions and record-breaking heat that consumed one-fifth of Samos Island, Greece (where temperature reached 40ºC in some areas)?

Think about that delegate…

Yes!
And what about the fact that monsoon seasons in India are being shifted? What about the hurricane in Brazil? What about the 10 typhoons in Japan in 2005? What about the hottest October ever in Germany, in 2001? What about the fact that Spain lost more than 1.2 million acres (485.622.8 hectares) of forest to wildfires in 1994, and 370,000 acres (149,734 hectares) burned in each of Greece and Italy in 1998? What about the Caucuses Mountains, in Russia, having lost half their mass in only 100 years? The evidence is undeniable.

I could go on and on, but I think I have made my point. Delegate of the Czech Republic, do not overlook the facts and just run blindly into a position. Consider this. Consider the fact that a war against nature is one that mankind cannot and will not win.
Cheers.

"The environmentalists assume that no matter how distant the future is, it is of equal importance as the present. This is, of course, not true because of the objectively existing preference of the present over the future."

"The tendency of environmentalists to systematically overestimate the negative impacts of human activities and to forget their positive impacts. Such approach can not bring good outcomes."

"The “warmists” (another nice term) succeeded also in creating incentives which led to the rise of very powerful rent-seeking groups. These rent seekers profit

- from trading the licenses to emit carbon dioxide;
- from constructing unproductive wind, sun and other equipments able to produce only highly subsidized electric energy;
- from growing non-food crops which produce non-carbon fuels at the expense of producing food (with well-known side effects);
- from doing research, writing and speaking about global warming, etc. "

"I consider environmentalism and its currently strongest version – climate alarmism – to be, at the beginning of the 21st century, the most effective and, therefore, the most dangerous vehicle for advocating, drafting and implementing large scale government intervention and for an unprecedented suppression of human freedom."

"The current dispute is not about climatology, it is about freedom. And I would add “about prosperity and living conditions of billions of people.” To avoid a disaster, “we should trust in the rationality of man and in the outcome of spontaneous evolution of human society, not in the virtues of political activism.” "
Vaclav Klaus

The earths atmosphere is much more less sensetive to CO2 then the enviromentalists say it is. The Global Warming is used by them to not only manipulate the human society , but as a slogan , to help " Carbon Free " Company ( arn't they nice : D ! ) to win money, and take human freedom, a perfect opportunity for politicians , the media ... They all use the excuse of the Green House Hypothesis, yes, hypothesis. Where are the economic arguments about de depleting resources, detailed researches about the new "Carbon Free" treaties?

To show how these enviromentalists are blind with their own ideas, I can take for example the worlds natural resources. This is all according to a demand bases , the greater the demand, the more resources are discovered. We could say they are continuously growing, not depleting.

The spanish delegate believes that Germany is correct in the search for new sources of energy and gives germany thier support. Spain itself uses Nuclear energy and wind powered energy, although spain believes that they can do more. The delegate would also like to ask about: how nuclear energy stands in Germany's resolution?

Salam fellow delegate of the CzechRepublic!
Afghanistan strongly believes that if global warming continues our end will be catastrophic. Nevertheless, it’s alright if your nation does not believe in the threat that global warming has been causing. However, doesn’t the delegate believe that voting in favor of Germany’s proposal is still a good idea, since it would be a good prevention? إله يبارك أنت

Saying a simple graph is not what a delegate of United Nations would say...
try analyzing this graph, see what it means and then decide on your countries opinion, Germany thinks it is rediculous that your country refuses to believe in global warming.

I want to show Germany's apreciation to all countries that are in favor of this resolution, reminding that, if this resolution passes it will do no harm, and only help the rest of the world...

Still when one country refuses to agree, we think what do they want for the world? they are only thinking about the present, and not about the future, what will happen tou our children, and their children?

"Our generation has inherited an incredably beautiful world form our parents, and they from their parents. It is in our hands wether our children, and their children inherit the same world." -"Richard Branson"-

Delegate of spain,

Germany agrees completely about the Nuclear energy, as long as it is proven to be one hundred procent safe... So, we thank spain for contributing to the above mentioned, "incredibly beautiful world, for those to come"

And we hope some of your wisdome may shine down upon other less aprieciatice people, the people who do not apriciate the worl our parents left for us.

The image posted by the delegate of colombia is not just a graph, it is an ilustrated representation of how the temperature of the world is changing from the years of 1950 to today.

It can easily be seen that global warming is not just an invention made by other countries, it is a global issue that needs to be of all countries concern. It is not an invention, nature is comunicating with us

Delegate of the Czech Republic:
Please note what the scale on the graph that I presented you with means.

On this graph, the x-axis is, obviously, the year.
The y-axis is the TEMPERATURE ANOMALY of that year.
For those who don't know what this means, a little clarification:
a-no-ma-ly:
n. Deviation or departure from the normal or common order, form, or rule.

The temperature of the WORLD is increasing. What this means is that, in a few years, we'll all either be moving to the north pole or dying in the heat.

Please, for our good, vote in favor of this resolution.

If the delegate need some numbers, we have various...

from the years 1989 to 2000 6.5 million people died of climate change...

another number, by the year of 2030 those number will double anualy...
does the delegate really think that this still does not affect its country, devide the total population of the earth, by the population of the country, then see how many percent of the country will be killed out of your country.

Dear delegate of Spain, as you may not know, nuclear energy is one of the best ways to generate energy with the purpose and aims to decrease the global warming effects. It has been proved by the Greenpeace that, since this kind of energy doesn't release substances such as coal and petroleum into the atmosphere, it diminishes the effects caused upon and by it, and it is better for the entire planet. Therefore, before making any early and immediate conclusions please research on them.

Georgia is Czech Republic main ally in the creation of a missile shield, although Georgia can't disagree with the fact that Global Warming is a major problem in our world.

Delegates, I am ashamed of what I just read. It seems to me as if the delegates of Colombia do not take this debate seriously. Please focus on what is being discussed, not on immature jokes which do not reflect the purpose of this forum.

Do you want more typhoons in Japan?
Do you want more droughts in Africa?
Do you want more hurricanes in Brazil?
Do you want more wars over water?
Do you want more deaths because of dehydration?
Do you want 40% or more of the planet's animals to die?
...
Do you want the world to end?
