| I just wanted to make sure that you guys are aware that Kenya's resolution is about removing your president from power. Keep in mind while researching and preparing your arguments, that you represent Mugabe and therefore have to defend him. I know that this is gonna be pretty tough considering the amount of damage that he has done, but it's not impossible. A good website to start researching is at http://www.crisisgroup.org/home/index.cfm?id=1233. There, under "recent reports and briefings", you'll find a whole bunch of links from which you'll find useful information. | |

| Delegates of Zimbabwe, dont worry. South Africa will fight with all its strengths to combat such resolution, which has shown to be disrespectful and senseless. | |

| South African delegate the delegation does not understand south africas position some delegates are in favor of taking mugabe out of power while other seem against it. Kenya's resolution asks to end the sanctions imposed over zimbabwe, make new elections with UN supervision, stabilize the situation in the region... It seems like South Africa should be in favor with such resolution... Please South Africa, explain your position regarding this topic... Thank you, delegate of the United States | |

| The Afghan delegates agrees with the United States: South Africa's resolution on the Security Council pretty much proposes the same... Am I not getting this straight? | |

| Fellow delegates, Just to clarify the differences between the resolutions. In South Africa's resolution it is proposed a parliamentary and presidential election by 2009, lifting all the sanctions imposed in Zimbabwe and reinforcing the power-sharing deal. I have talked to the Kenyan delegate, and he said his resolution wanted to remove Mugabe of power and reinforce the sanctions directed to the government until the elections. Even though both of the resolutions have an aim for a better Zimbabwe, they have different approaches. The delegation of South Africa hopes to have answered any doubts regarding our country's position. If not, don’t hesitate asking! Looking forward to the discussions this week!! best regards. | |
